War Service of Armbruster
27 Mar 1818 | Pennsylvania
On 27 March 1818, Matthias Armbruster (by his own account "an old soldier") submitted his declaration and other papers in order to receive a pension. He admits he meets the "needs" criteria by stating that he is poor and indigent, and gives a detailed description of his troop's movements during the time he was enlisted.
